Industries We Serve

Built Around How Your Business Actually Runs

Three industries, three very different sets of financial workflows. Each engagement is structured around the one you operate in.

What We Do

Four Pieces of Work, One Result You Can Use

Each of these can stand alone or run together. Most owners start with one and add the next when the first is settled.

01

Monthly Bookkeeping

Reconciled accounts and a close that lands on the same schedule every month, so the numbers are ready before you need them.

Monthly bookkeeping
02

Cleanup & Catch-Up

A defined project that corrects what is miscategorized, reconciles what never was, and brings a neglected QuickBooks file current.

QuickBooks cleanup & catch-up
03

Payroll Support

Payroll runs recorded into the general ledger correctly, with labor landing against the right job, property, or entity.

04

Financial Reporting

Reports built backwards from the questions you actually ask, rather than whatever QuickBooks prints by default.

Meet the Founder

Enterprise Finance Experience. Practical Business Support.

Virander S Sardar is the Founder and CEO of Meridian Ledger Group LLC and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor Gold with more than 10 years of experience in enterprise finance systems and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance. Meridian was created to give growing businesses the financial clarity, organized records and meaningful insights needed to make confident decisions.

That enterprise background shapes how the work gets done. Large-scale finance systems demand structure: a chart of accounts that reflects the operation, reconciliations that actually tie out, and reporting that answers the question being asked. Meridian Ledger Group brings the same discipline to construction, real estate, and property management businesses, at a scale that fits them.

Before & After

What a Cleanup Actually Changes

The difference between a file you tolerate and a file you can make decisions from.

Before
  • Months of uncategorized or miscategorized transactions
  • Bank and credit card accounts that have never fully reconciled
  • A chart of accounts that does not match how the business operates
  • Reports nobody trusts enough to act on
  • A scramble every time your CPA asks for something
After
  • Every transaction categorized to an account that means something
  • Bank and credit card accounts reconciled and tying out
  • A chart of accounts built around your jobs, properties, or units
  • Profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow you can rely on
  • A file your CPA or tax professional can work from directly
Why We’re Different

Most Bookkeepers Record History. We Build the System That Produces It.

Ten things that shape how the work gets done here. None of them are unusual in enterprise finance. Most of them are unusual in small-business bookkeeping.

  • Enterprise finance background. More than ten years inside finance operations where a report could not be published until it reconciled.
  • Process-driven, not reactive. A written monthly close calendar with the same checks in the same order, so nothing depends on remembering.
  • Systems thinking. When something goes wrong twice, we change the workflow rather than fixing the entry again next month.
  • Construction expertise. Job costing, change orders, retainage, and subcontractor records set up the way contractors actually bid and bill.
  • Property accounting. Rent roll, owner statements, security deposit discipline, and maintenance coded so an owner report is defensible.
  • Real estate bookkeeping. Books kept per property and per entity, so a portfolio view and a single-property view both hold up.
  • QuickBooks ProAdvisor Gold. Certified across QuickBooks Online Level 1, Level 2, and Payroll, not self-taught in the software.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance experience. Chart of accounts and dimension design borrowed from systems built to survive an audit trail.
  • Personalized service. One point of contact who knows your file, your entities, and why last March looked strange.
  • No outsourcing. Your books are not passed to an offshore processing team. The person who reviews your file is the person you spoke to.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What industries does Meridian Ledger Group specialize in?

Meridian Ledger Group provides bookkeeping and financial operations support specifically for construction, real estate, and property management businesses. Services are structured around the financial workflows common to these industries, including job costing, vendor and subcontractor payments, rent-related bookkeeping, and property-level reporting.

What bookkeeping services are included?

Core services include monthly bookkeeping and account reconciliation, QuickBooks Online setup, cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping, organized payroll support, and clear financial reporting with business insights. Each is delivered on a consistent schedule with organized records.

Do you prepare or file taxes?

No. We do not provide tax preparation or tax filing, and we do not provide legal, tax, audit, or investment advisory services. What we do is keep your books accurate, reconciled, and organized so your CPA or tax professional can work from them directly.

What does QuickBooks ProAdvisor mean?

A QuickBooks ProAdvisor is a bookkeeping or accounting professional who has completed Intuit’s certification program for QuickBooks Online. Intuit places ProAdvisors in tiers based on certifications held and program activity, and Meridian is currently at the Gold tier. It is a certification from Intuit rather than a state license, and it is not the same thing as being a CPA. What it tells you in practice is that the person configuring your file has been tested on the software rather than learning it on your books.

Can you clean up an existing QuickBooks Online file?

Yes. Meridian Ledger Group performs QuickBooks Online cleanup and catch-up projects, including fixing miscategorized transactions, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and correcting opening balances so the file is accurate and current. See how cleanup and catch-up works.

Do you work with clients outside of Washington state?

Yes. While the firm is based in Lake Stevens, WA, bookkeeping and financial operations services are delivered virtually to businesses throughout the United States using secure, cloud-based tools.

How quickly can onboarding begin?

Most new clients are fully onboarded within one to two weeks. That typically includes a discovery call, secure access to QuickBooks Online, a review of the current chart of accounts, and an agreed-upon reporting and close schedule.

Is my financial data secure?

Yes. Client data is handled using bank-level security tools, least-privilege access controls, and secure document exchange. Sensitive information is never sent over unencrypted email.

How much does a cleanup cost?

It is priced by scope, not by a published rate card, because a single year on one bank account and three years across five accounts and two entities are genuinely different projects. The free health check is where the file gets looked at; the written scope that follows carries a fixed price, agreed before any work begins. No hourly surprises.

How long does a cleanup take?

That depends on how many periods and accounts are in scope and how quickly statements and documents come back. The scope you approve includes an estimated timeline, and you are told immediately if anything found mid-project would change it. Most files reach a state where monthly close can begin well before every historical detail is perfect, and that is usually the right sequence.

Will I lose any data?

No. Cleanup happens inside your existing QuickBooks Online file, which you continue to own and control. Nothing is deleted. Transactions are recategorized, reconciled, or corrected, and QuickBooks Online keeps an audit log of every change. You can revoke our access at any time and the file stays exactly as it is.

Can you fix several years of bookkeeping?

Yes. Multi-year catch-up is normal work, not an exception. It is handled period by period, oldest first, so each year closes on numbers the following year can build on. See how cleanup and catch-up works.

Can you work with my CPA, and can I keep my current accountant?

Yes to both, and it is the arrangement we prefer. Meridian keeps the books; your CPA or tax preparer handles tax and advisory work. We can share access, answer their questions directly, and deliver the file in the format they ask for at year end. Nobody has to be replaced for this to work.

Do I need to be on QuickBooks Online already?

No. If you are on QuickBooks Desktop, spreadsheets, or another platform, we will look at what you have and talk through what a move to QuickBooks Online would involve, including whether it is worth doing at all right now.

What is the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?

Bookkeeping is the ongoing record: categorizing, reconciling, closing each month. Accounting interprets that record and files what has to be filed. Meridian does the bookkeeping half. Read the full explainer.
